Tullow Oil has let a contract to Noble Corp. for the drillship Noble Faye Kozack for offshore Ghana.

The rig contract for the 2027-28 Ghana drilling program (Campaign 2) includes up to 10 wells, with the rig expected to arrive at or about midyear, Tullow said in its half-year report to investors published Sept. 28.

Noble confirmed the contract award in a separate Sept. 25 post to its official social media account.

Target identification for the 2027-28 campaign is supported by 4D seismic data and incremental support from the incorporation of the Ocean Bottom Node (OBN) survey data, according to Tullow.

Noble Faye Kozack is a Samsung 12000 double hull-design drillship rated for up to 12,000 ft water depth and 40,000 ft maximum drilling depth.

This latest contract award follows Tullow’s 2025-26 Jubilee field drilling campaign completed earlier in September, with six producers and one water injector placed onstream, further supporting production performance and improving the outlook for the long-term potential of the company’s Ghanaian portfolio, Tullow said.
