Equinor Energy AS has been granted a permit by the Norwegian Offshore Directorate to drill in the North Sea.
Exploration wells 15/5-8 S and 15/5-8 A are expected to be drilled by the Deepsea Atlantic semisubmersible drilling rig in production license 1140 beginning in June and August, respectively.
Equinor Energy is operator of the license with 60% interest. Aker BP ASA holds the remaining 40%.
