NPD grants permits for three North Sea wells

The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) granted drilling permits for Neptune Energy Norge AS appraisal well 35/9-16 in production license (PL) 153 and for Equinor Energy AS wildcat wells 34/4-18S in PL 057 and 35/10-8S in PL 293B.

Neptune 35/9-16 will be drilled by the Deepsea Yantai. The Equinor wells will be drilled by the Deepsea Stavanger. All wells have a February 2022 planned entry date.

Neptune is operator at PL 153 (30%) with partners Petoro AS (30%), Wintershall Dea Norge AS (28%), and OKEA ASA (12%).

Equinor is operator at PL 293B (51%) with partners DNO Norge AS (29%), Idemitsu Petroleum Norge AS (10%), and Longboat Energy Norge AS (10%). Equinor is also operator at PL 057 (31%) with partners Petoro AS (30%), Wintershall Dea Norge AS (24.5%), Idemmitsu Petorleum Norge AS (9.6%), and Vår Energi AS (4.9%).
