Equinor granted permit to drill North Sea wildcats

Equinor Energy AS has been granted a drilling permit by the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate for wildcat wells in North Sea production license 090, Block 35/11.

Wells 35/11-25 S and 35/11-25 A will be drilled from the Deepsea Atlantic semisubmersible drilling rig about 10 km west of Fram field after completing maintenance work on Gullfaks for Equinor in PL 050.

Equinor is operator (45%) with partners Vår Energi AS (25%), Neptune Energy Norge AS (15%), and Idemitsu Petroleum Norge AS (15%).
