Equinor to drill wildcats in the North Sea

Equinor Energy AS has been granted drilling permits for well 34/4-19 S in production license (PL) 057 and well 34/6-9 S in PL 554, both in the North Sea, by the Norwegian Offshore Directorate. 

Wildcat well 34/4-19 S will be drilled by the Deepsea Atlantic semisubmersible drilling rig with a planned October 2025 entry date.

Wildcat well 34/6-9 S will be drilled in by the COSLInnovator semisubmersible drilling rig with a planned September 2025 entry date.

Equinor is operator at PL 057 (31%) with partners Petoro AS (30%), Harbour Energy Norge AS (24.5%), INPEX Idemitsu Norge AS (9.6%), and Vår Energi ASA (4.9%).

Equinor is operator at PL 057 (40%) with partners Aker BP (30%), and Vår Energi ASA (30%).
