Enwell Energy PLC has spudded appraisal SV-25 in Ukraine’s Svyrydivske (SV) gas and condensate field. Primary targets are B-20, B-22, and B-23 horizons in the Visean formation at 5,320 m total well depth.

Drilling operations are scheduled to complete by end first-quarter 2021. Subject to successful testing, production hook-up is expected for second-quarter 2021.

Geologically, the field is towards the middle of Dnipro-Donets sedimentary basin which extends across the major part of north-east Ukraine, here most of Ukraine's gas and condensate production is located. The reservoir comprises a series of gently dipping Carboniferous sandstones of Visean age inter-bedded with shales at around 4,700 m below the surface, with gross thickness of 800-1,000 m.

Enwell Energy is operator with 100% working interest in the field.
