Egdon Resources PLC, Odiham, UK, plans well interventions to boost production at small Fiskerton Airfield oil field in Lincolnshire after acquiring 100% interest from Cirque Energy (UK) Ltd., for $750,000 cash.

The field, about 7 km east of Lincoln, UK, has produced about 440,000 bbl of 35.2° gravity oil since its discovery in 1997.

Egdon estimates it holds more than 100,000 bbl of oil recoverable from two production wells. One well, FA-3, now produces 19 b/d of oil. The other producer, FA-1, is shut in. A third well, FA-2, reinjects produced water.

Egdon expects to boost production initially to 30-40 b/d with low-cost workovers of the FA-3 and FA-1 wells and will study infill-drilling potential.
