Egdon Resources PLC completed the Wressle-1 well in North Lincolnshire under licenses PEDL180 and PEDL182.

A proppant-squeeze operation was successfully performed in the Ashover Grit reservoir interval. A total of 146 cu m of gelled fluid with 17.3 tonnes ceramic proppant were injected into the formation in line with the authorized program. Injection operations lasted a total of only 1 hr 30 min over a 2-day period.

No health, safety, environmental or security issues were experienced during the operations, according to Egdon. Real time monitoring confirmed there was no induced seismicity and that the noise levels were within permitted limits. All equipment and personnel associated with the operation have demobilized from site.

The well will now be subject to a coiled-tubing operation to fully clean the production tubing before bringing the well into production through permanently sited production infrastructure.

Preoperational simulation modelling concluded that the proppant-squeeze operation would result in constrained flow rates of 500 b/d (gross). Once the well is brought back into production,

Egdon Resources is operator at PEDL180 and PEDL182 (30%) with partners Union Jack Oil PLC (40%) and Europa Oil & Gas Ltd. (30%).
