Pipestone Energy Corp., Calgary, has curtailed production previously restored due to ongoing wildfire activity in the Alberta region.
Due to precautionary shut-in of certain third-party infrastructure and associated operated production locations, Pipestone has curtailed about 20,000 boe/d from Grande Prairie area assets since the evening of May 12, the company said in a release May 15.
From May 8 to May 12, Pipestone had restarted the majority of its producing assets until the resurgence of wildfires in proximity to certain third-party processing infrastructure, it said.
The company said it is not aware of any significant damage or loss to either its owned or third-party infrastructure and that it is ready to resume production as soon as the currently shut down third party infrastructure is restarted.
