Vermilion Energy Inc., Calgary, has restored about 60% of the 30,000 boe/d of production that was temporarily shut-in as a result of the wildfires in West Central Alberta (OGJ Online, May 8, 2023).

As a result of production being temporarily offline, the company revised its second-quarter 2023 production guidance downward to an average 80,000-83,000 boe/d from a previous estimate of 84,000-86,000 boe/d. Full year 2023 production guidance of 82,000-86,000 boe/d remains unchanged.

The remaining curtailed production will be brought back online as soon as it is safe to do so, the company said in a release May 15.

The company has inspected its key assets and has confirmed that there was no major damage to its infrastructure or well sites.
