Wellesley granted North Sea drilling permit

Wellesley Petroleum AS has been granted a permit by the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate to drill a well in North Sea production license 885.

Wellesley Petroleum AS has been granted a permit by the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate to drill a well in North Sea production license 885.

Well 36/1-4 S—the second exploration well in the license—will be drilled from the Borgland Dolphin drilling rig about 65 km north of Gjøa field.

The area in the license consists of parts of Blocks 35/3 and 36/1.  

Wellesley is operator with 80% interest. Petoro AS holds the remaining 20%.
