Aker BP granted exploration permits west of Ula

Aker BP ASA has been granted drilling permits for wildcat well 7/11-14 S and appraisal well 7/11-14 A in PL906 by the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate.

Aker BP ASA has been granted drilling permits for wildcat well 7/11-14 S and appraisal well 7/11-14 A in PL906 by the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate.

The area in the license consists of parts of North Sea Blocks 7/11 and 7/12, about 13 km west of Ula field in 72 m of water.

The wells are the first and second explorations in the license and will be drilled from the Mærsk Integrator drilling facility.

Aker BP is operator with 60% interest. Partners are Longboat Energy Norge AS (20%) and DNO Norge AS (20%).
