Aker BP has been granted a drilling permit for an exploration well and an appraisal well in the Norwegian Sea.

Wells 6607/12-4 and 6607/12-4 A—the first in the license—will be drilled about 7 km northeast of the 6607/12-2 S Alve Nord discovery from the Deepsea Nordkapp drilling facility in production license 127 C.

Aker BP ASA is the operator with 88.0825%. PGNiG Upstream Norway AS holds the remaining 11.9175%.

The area in this license consists of part of Block 6607/12.
