Aker BP ASA has been granted a drilling permit by the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) for wildcat well 6507/2-6 in the Norwegian Sea.

The well will be drilled by the Deepsea Nordkapp drilling rig in production license 261 and has a May 2022 planned entry date.

Aker BP is operator of the license (70%) with partner Wintershall Dea Norge AS (30%).
