Neptune Energy to drill wildcat offshore Norway

Neptune Energy received a drilling permit from the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate for well 6406/12-G-1 H in production license 586 in the Norwegian Sea.

The well, the seventh in the license, will be drilled 36 km southwest of Njord field from the West Phoenix drilling rig after completing drilling of observation well 6406/12-H-4 for Neptune in the same license.

The area in the license consists of part of Block 6406. Neptune is operator with 30% interest. Partners are Vår Energi (45%), Suncor Energy (17.5%) and DNO Norge (7.5%).
