Suncor Energy names Little to succeed Smith as CFO

Prior to being named chief financial officer, Smith served Suncor as executive vice-president, downstream, as well as interim chief executive officer.

Suncor Energy, Calgary, has appointed Troy Little as chief financial officer, effective Nov. 1, 2025. Little, who currently serves Suncor as senior vice-president, external affairs, will succeed Kris Smith, who retire on Dec. 31, 2025, after more than 25 years of service.

Prior to being named chief financial officer, Smith served Suncor as executive vice-president, downstream, as well as interim chief executive officer.

Effective Nov. 1, 2025, Smith will take on an executive advisory role prior to his retirement at yearend.

Adam Albeldawi, currently Suncor's chief human resources officer (CHRO), will be appointed CHRO and senior vice-president, external affairs.
