David Cecil will join Southwestern Energy Co., Houston, as executive vice-president of corporate development.
In his new role, Cecil will be responsible for the company’s strategic direction and identifying and capitalizing on growth opportunities, including business and commercial development prospects.
He previously served as managing director and head of North American exploration and production at financial advisory and asset management firm Lazard Ltd. He also has been managing director of Scotia Waterous (USA), the oil and gas arm of Scotiabank, where he led its US energy investment banking practice.
