Continental Resources Inc., Oklahoma City, has named Doug Lawler as president and chief executive officer. Lawler, the company's current president and chief operating officer, will begin the new position “at the start of 2023” upon the retirement of William Berry, the company said in a release Dec. 6.
Chief executive officer Berry took on the role of president in January 2022. Lawler, who has spent over three decades in the oil and gas industry, joined Continental in February 2022 as chief operating officer and executive vice-president (OGJ Online, Jan. 18, 2022; Aug. 18, 2022).
