Sanchez succeeds Davis as CGX Energy CFO

CGX Energy Inc., Toronto, has appointed Daniel Sanchez as the company’s chief financial officer, succeeding George Davis, who has left the company for personal reasons, the company said in a release July 18.

CGX Energy Inc., Toronto, has appointed Daniel Sanchez as the company’s chief financial officer, succeeding George Davis, who has left the company for personal reasons, the company said in a release July 18.

Davis had been appointed to the position earlier this month (OGJ Online, July 6, 2022).

Sanchez is an accounting professional with more than 18 years of experience in accounting and financial activities. He also holds more than 12 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. He most recently served as head of the corporate consolidation and reporting team at Frontera Energy Corp. Sanchez joined Frontera in 2010 and has been involved in CGX and Frontera's consolidation and reporting efforts, the company said.

CGX is a Canadian-based oil and gas exploration company focused on the exploration of oil in the Guyana-Suriname basin and the development of a deepwater port in Berbice, Guyana. The company is currently embarking on the Wei-1 drilling campaign offshore Guyana (OGJ Online, June 17, 2022).
