The Australian Petroleum Production & Exploration Association (APPEA) appointed Samantha McCulloch as its new chief executive, succeeding Andrew McConville.

McCulloch joins the APPEA from the International Energy Agency where she led the carbon capture utilization and storage unit since 2018.

She has over 20 years of experience in energy policy and advocacy within government, the private sector, and industry associations in Australia and internationally.
