The Australian Petroleum Production and Exploration Association (APPEA) has appointed Meg O’Neill, chief executive officer of Woodside Energy Ltd., as the new chairman of the industry association.
Beach Energy Ltd.’s executive officer Morné Engelbrecht was elected vice-chairman.
O’Neill joined the APPEA board in 2019 and has served as the body’s vice-chairman for the past year.
Engelbrecht joined the APPEA board in 2021.
Outgoing chairman, Senex Energy Ltd.’s chief executive officer Ian Davies, has been on the APPEA board since 2017.
