Pieridae Energy Ltd., Calgary, has hired Darcy Reding to join the company as chief operating officer Apr. 5th. Tim de Freitas, formerly chief operating officer, left the company in January.
Reding is a professional engineer with 30 years of experience in small and mid-sized private and public upstream oil and gas companies, with 20 years in leadership roles. He spent the last decade at NAL Resources as vice-president of operations and vice-president of operations and geoscience. Prior, Reding held technical and leadership roles with Norcen Energy, Northrock Resources, Samson Exploration, and Enterra Energy Trust.
Founded in 2011, Pieridae is focused on the development of integrated energy-related activities, from the exploration and extraction of natural gas to the development, construction, and operation of the Goldboro LNG facility and the production of LNG for sale to Europe and other markets.
