Gulf Keystone appoints Harris to succeed Ferrier as CEO

Gulf Keystone Petroleum has appointed Jon Harris as chief executive officer.

Gulf Keystone Petroleum has appointed Jon Harris as chief executive officer.

Harris has over 30 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry. He joined the company from Sasol Ltd. where he was executive vice-president, upstream.  Prior, he spent 25 years with BG Group.

Harris will join the Board of Gulf Keystone and assume the chief executive role on Jan. 18, 2021. Jón Ferrier, who has served as the company’s chief executive officer since 2015, will retire on Jan. 31, 2021.
