Wintershall Dea has made management changes in Germany and the Netherlands.

Robert Frimpong will succeed Dirk Warzecha as head of the Germany business unit in Hamburg on Jan. 1, 2021. Frimpong has led the Netherlands, UK, and Denmark business unit since 2014, and is managing director of Wintershall Noordzee in Rijswijk in the Netherlands.

Dirk Warzecha will leave the company Dec. 31, 2020. Warzecha was a member of the executive management board and chief operating officer at DEA until the merger between Wintershall and DEA in May 2019. After the merger to form Wintershall Dea, Warzecha took over responsibility for E&P activities in Germany as senior vice-president. With the completion of the integration project, he is now leaving the company at the end of the year.

Jone Hess will take over as managing director of Wintershall Noordzee on Jan. 1, 2021. Hess has headed the internal integration project at Wintershall Dea since Wintershall and DEA merged in May 2019.
