UP Energy makes senior leadership changes

UP Energy LLC, Englewood, Colo., has appointed Christopher Valdez as the company's interim president and chief operating officer and Ty Harrison as chief financial officer.

UP Energy LLC, Englewood, Colo., has appointed Christopher Valdez as the company's interim president and chief operating officer and Ty Harrison as chief financial officer. 

UP Energy LLC is a private energy company focused on natural gas reserves in Pinedale and Jonah fields of Wyoming's Green River basin that emerged following Ultra Petroleum Corp.’s bankruptcy proceedings in September (OGJ Online, Sept. 18, 2020).

Valdez previously served as co-founder and chief executive officer of Middle Fork Energy Partners.  Harrison joins from KODA Resources, where he served as chief financial officer. 

Also joining UP Energy are Frank Merendino, senior vice-president of operations, Chris Bement, senior vice-president of development, Worth Carlin, senior vice-president of land and regulatory, and Mark Smith, director of operational excellence. 

Hassler, the company’s chairman, thanked Brad Johnson (former president and chief executive officer), David Honeyfield (former senior vice-president and chief financial officer), and Jay Stratton (former senior vice-president and chief operating officer) for their prior leadership.
