Olivier de Langavant has been appointed chief executive officer of Maurel & Prom, Paris, succeeding Michel Hochard.
De Langavant has held many positions with Total SA, where he began his career in 1981 as a reservoir engineer with Elf Aquitaine. Total acquired Elf in 2000.
Maurel & Prom is an independent oil and gas producer owned 71% by Pertamina International Exploration & Production of Indonesia.
