OQEP lets contract for Bisat field expansion project in Oman

OQ Exploration & Production (OQEP) has let a contract to SLB to deliver the Bisat-B expansion production plant in Block 60 onshore in western central Oman.
Under the contract, SLB will provide design, engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning services for the plant, along with 4 years of operations and maintenance support. The expansion is expected to increase gross fluids handling capacity to 548,000 b/d, with completion expected within 19 months, SLB said.
The award marks the next phase of development for Bisat field following the delivery of the Bisat-A plant in 2018 and the original Bisat-B plant in 2020.
