Petrobras lets subsea vessel contract for work offshore Brazil
Petróleo Brasileiro SA (Petrobras) has let a contract to AKOFS Offshore AS for subsea equipment support vessel (SESV) Aker Wayfarer.
Operations on teh 4-year contract are expected to start in September 2027 following the expiration of the current contract and necessary preparations for the new engagement.
Aker Wayfarer is designed and equipped for deepwater subsea equipment installation, intervention, or recovery. AKOFS Offshore will conduct Aker Wayfarer operations in collaboration with Bravante for marine services and Oceaneering for ROV services.
The total contract value is $330 million, of which about $213 million will be revenue allocated to AKOFS Offshore and included in the company's backlog.
AKOFS Offshore is 66.7% owned by Akastor ASA.
