The US Bureau of Land Management (BLM) will hold an oil and gas lease sale Dec. 9, 2025, to offer 60 oil and gas parcels totaling 50,980 acres in Colorado, the agency said Oct. 10.

BLM completed scoping of the parcels March 2025 and held a public comment period that closed in July 2025 on the lots and the related environmental analysis, it said. A 30-day public protest period will close Nov. 10, 2025.

A BLM lease sale in Montana and North Dakota held last month raised $38 million for 23 parcels totaling more than 7,500 acres.
