ANP offers blocks offshore Brazil

Brazil's National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas, and Biofuels will offer seven blocks within Campos and Santos basins.

Brazil's National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas, and Biofuels (ANP) is offering blocks offshore Brazil in the 3rd Cycle of the Open Acreage of Production Sharing (OPP).

A total of seven blocks will be offered: Jaspe, Citrino, Larimar, Ônix, Itaimbezinho, Ametista, and Esmeralda. The blocks lie in Campos and Santos basins.

The OPP consists of all activities required to hold the public session for the presentation of offers for one or more blocks that are the subject of a declaration of interest accompanied by a bid guarantee and includes the qualification of the winning bidders of the public session, the awarding of the object of the cycle's bid, the approval of the cycle's bid and the signing of the production sharing agreements.

In July, ANP listed bidders eligible to participate. The following is a list of those eligible per the July 14 meeting of the special commission:

  2. BP Energy do Brasil SA.
  3. Chevron Brasil Óleo e Gás Ltda.
  4. CNOOC Petroleum Brasil Ltda.
  5. Ecopetrol Óleo e Gás do Brasil Ltda.
  6. Equinor Brasil Energia Ltda.
  7. Karoon Petróleo e Gás Ltda.
  8. Petrogal Brasil SA.
  9. Petróleo Brasileiro SA.
  10. Petronas Petróleo Brasil Ltda.
  11. Prio Forte SA.
  12. Qatarenergy Brasil Ltda.
  13. Shell Brasil Petróleo Ltda.
  14. Sinopec Exploration and Production Brazil Ltda.
  15. Total Energies EP Brasil Ltda.

The deadline for submitting declarations of interest accompanied by bid guarantees is Sept. 11, 2025. The public session will take place on Oct. 22. The deadline for submitting qualification documents by winning bidders in the public session is Nov. 13, and the awards will be announced on Feb. 6, 2026.
