French to be Rosehill Resources president, CEO

David L. French will join Rosehill Resources Inc., Houston, as president, chief executive, and director by Apr. 30. He has been president, chief executive officer, and a director of Obsidian Energy Ltd. since 2016 and held similar positions with Banker Petroleum Ltd. in 2013-16.

David L. French will join Rosehill Resources Inc., Houston, as president, chief executive, and director by Apr. 30.

He has been president, chief executive officer, and a director of Obsidian Energy Ltd. since 2016 and held similar positions with Banker Petroleum Ltd. in 2013-16.

French earlier worked for Apache Corp., McKinsey & Co., Altura Energy Ltd., and Amoco Corp.

He will succeed Gary C. Hanna, who has been interim president and CEO at Rosehill since last September. Hanna will remain chairman of the board of directors.
