Saetre named Statoil president, CEO

Eldar Saetre has been named president and chief executive officer of Statoil, succeeding Helge Lund, who resigned in October.

Eldar Saetre has been named president and chief executive officer of Statoil, succeeding Helge Lund, who resigned in October (OGJ Online, Oct. 15, 2014).

Saetre, a member of the corporate executive committee since 2003, has been acting president and chief executive officer. His earlier positions with Statoil include chief financial officer and executive vice-president for marketing, processing, and renewable energy.
