U.S. CIRCUIT COURT OF APPEALS in Chicago ordered Amoco Corp. to pay about $204 million in damages to the French government and other French parties as a result of the March 1978 Amoco Cadiz supertanker oil spill (OGJ, Mar. 27, 1978, p. 108).
