Continental Resources Inc. increased production slightly quarter-over quarter with third-quarter 2022 total production averaging 414,400 boe/d, compared with 400,200 boe/d in this year’s second quarter (OGJ Online, July 29, 2022).
Third-quarter 2022 oil averaged 200,500 b/d. Third-quarter 2022 natural gas production averaged 1,284 MMcfd.
Net income was $1.01 billion for third-quarter 2022, compared with $1.21 billion for the previous quarter. Adjusted net income for the quarter was $1.04 billion compared with $1.25 billion for second-quarter 2022. Net cash provided by operating activities was $2.22 billion, up from $1.74 billion in second-quarter 2022. Non-acquisition capital expenditures were $815.9 million for the quarter.
The company is on track to be acquired by an entity owned by the company’s founder, Harold Hamm, in a deal that is expected to close before Dec. 31, 2022, subject to customary closing conditions (OGJ Online, Oct. 17, 2022).
