With approval of Gabonese authorities, Perenco Oil and Gas Gabon closed deal to acquire TotalEnergies’ non-operated interests in seven offshore fields operated by Perenco along with its interests and operatorship in the Cap Lopez oil terminal.

The companies agreed to the $350-million transaction in July 2020 (OGJ Online, July 30, 2020).

TotalEnergies EP Gabon previously held 65.275% interest in Grondin, Gonelle, Barbier, Mandaros, Torpille, Girelle, and Pageau fields and 37.5% interest in Hylia.

Production from the acquired assets was 8,400 boe/d for the first three quarters of 2021.

TotalEnergies EP Gabon is refocusing on its operated offshore assets in the Anguille and Torpille sectors, said Henri-Max Ndong-Nzue, president of TotalEnergies EP Gabon, in a Dec. 9 release.

Perenco has previously acquired varying interests in some of the same offshore Gabon oil and gas fields from units of TotalEnergies  SA in 2017 (OGJ Online, Feb. 7, 2017).
