Petrobras lets contract for flexible pipe for five offshore fields
Petrobras has let two contracts to Baker Hughes for supply of flexible pipe for work across five fields offshore Brazil.
The first contract covers up to 96 km of flexible pipe for Sapinhoá and Tupi fields. The second covers up to 226 km of flexible pipe for Marlim 2 and Itapu fields.
The flexible pipes will be used for a mix of production lines, gas injection flowlines, water injection lines, and services lines for pre and postsalt subsea developments in Brazil.
The contract follows another let to the service provider by Petrobras for subsea oilfield equipment to support the revitalization of Marlim and Voador fields in the Campos basin offshore Brazil. Petrobras also recently awarded the service provider a wellhead contract for Mero 4, the largest presalt field in Brazil.
