Trident Energy acquires Campos basin assets from Petrobras

Trident Energy do Brasil LTDA, a subsidiary of Trident Energy, has entered Brazil’s offshore environment with acquisition of shallow water Pampo & Enchova clusters in Campos basin from Petrobras.

Trident Energy do Brasil LTDA, a subsidiary of Trident Energy, has entered Brazil’s offshore environment with acquisition of shallow water Pampo & Enchova clusters in Campos basin from Petrobras. The deal includes 10 concessions producing over 22,000 bo/d from PPM-I, PCE-1, P-8 and P-65 platforms.

Pampo and Enchova clusters include Enchova, Enchova Oeste, Marimbá, Piraúna, Bicudo, Bonito, Pampo, Trilha, Linguado and Badejo fields. Total oil and gas production from April to June 2020 was about 22,000 boe/d.

The transaction concluded with the payment of $365.4 million to Petrobras, after all previous conditions had been met, and provides for contingent payment of an additional $650 million, including $200 million disclosed on 07/24/2019. The amount received at closing of is added to $53.2 million paid to Petrobras at the signing of the sales agreement for a total of $418.6 million.

Trident will be operator of the concessions with 100% stake.
