Anadarko lets GoM drilling contracts

The contracts include a 940-day extension for one drillship, and a new 914-day contract for another.

Anadarko Petroleum Corp. has let contracts to Valaris Ltd. for drillships in the Gulf of Mexico.

The contracts include a 940-day extension for drillship VALARIS DS-16, starting in June 2026, and a new 914-day contract for drillship VALARIS DS-18, expected to start in mid-fourth quarter 2026. The combined addition to contracted revenue backlog is about $760 million.

Anadarko Petroleum is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Occidental Petroleum Corp.
