Woodside Energy Ltd. and Saudi Aramco entered into a non-binding collaboration agreement to explore global opportunities, including Aramco’s potential acquisition of an equity interest in and LNG offtake from the Louisiana LNG project.
The companies also are exploring opportunities for a potential collaboration in lower-carbon ammonia, Woodside said in a release May 14.
Last month, Woodside took positive final investment decision to develop the three-train, 16.5 million tonnes/year Louisiana LNG project and is targeting first LNG in 2029 (OGJ Online, Apr. 29, 2025).
