Hilcorp Energy Co. closed its deal to acquire interests in Alaska from Eni. The deal is valued at $1 billion, Eni said in a release Nov. 4.

In June, Eni said it signed a binding agreement with Hilcorp—one of the largest private oil and gas exploration and production companies in the US—to sell 100% of its Nikaitchuq and Oooguruk oil field assets in Alaska.

At the time, Eni said the value of the deal would be announced upon its closing (OGJ Online, June 27, 2024).
