David J. Sambrooks has been named president, chief executive officer, and a member of the board of Midstates Petroleum Co. Inc., Tulsa.
He succeeds Jake Brace, who remains a board member.
Sambrooks has 37 years of energy industry experience. He most recently was president, chief executive officer, and board member of Sabine Oil & Gas LLC, formerly known as NFR Energy LLC.
