OMV Petrom, Botas sign gas agreement

OMV Petrom signed a gas purchase contract with Turkish-state Botas. The 18-month contract will begin in October 2023 and allows for the supply of up to 4 million cu m/d. The contract is valid until March 2025. 

The gas is to be delivered outside Turkey, at the Malkoclar-Strandja point, OMV Romania said in a late September release. The main destination market of the gas is Romania.

The two companies also signed a memorandum of understanding to expand collaboration in the field of LNG in southeast Europe, OMV said.
