Cabinda Gulf Oil lets gas connection contract for work offshore Angola

Cabinda Gulf Oil Co. Ltd. has let a contract to Subsea 7 SA for the Sanha Lean Gas Connection project comprising construction and installation of the Lean Gas Platform system in Block-0, offshore Angola.

Cabinda Gulf Oil Co. Ltd. (CABGOC) has let a contract to Subsea 7 SA for the Sanha Lean Gas Connection (SLGC) project comprising construction and installation of the Lean Gas Platform (LGP) system in Block-0, offshore Angola, at about 70 m water depth.

Project management and engineering will be performed from Subsea 7’s offices in Paris and Lisbon. Fabrication will take place at Sonamet’s yard in Lobito, Angola, in 2021-2022, while offshore operations will occur in 2022-2023.

CABGOC is a subsidiary of Chevron and is operator in Angola with 39.2% interest in Block 0 (OGJ Online, Feb. 12, 2020).
