Argentina Vaca Muerta producer Vista Energy reported proved and probable reserves (1P) of 588 MMboe at yearend 2025, a 57% year-over-year increase.

Additions to proved reserves reached 255.1 MMboe, including the acquisition of Petronas assets completed in April. The additions drove the companys reserve replacement ratio to 605%. Excluding acquisitions, the replacement ratio stood at 260%.

Production

During fourth-quarter 2025, Vista had average production of 135,414 boe/d, a 59% year-over-year increase, and up 7% from third-quarter 2025.

In the quarter, crude oil production averaged 118,285 b/d, 8% higher than the third quarter. Performance was driven by new wells placed online and "strong productivity levels" across the shale portfolio, the company said.

Between the third and fourth quarters of the year, Vista placed online 40 new wells across Vaca Muerta blocks.
