Kosmos Energy Ltd. has let a contract to Subsea Cable Assets LLC (SCA) to supply equipment for an onshore project in Mobile, Ala.

As part of the onshore umbilical storage carousel contract, SCA will provide a newly designed 1,000-ton carousel to support umbilical storage and handling operations for the unidentified project, the service provider said. 

SCA’s team will engineer, manufacture, and deliver the carousel system for on-site assembly in Mobile under supervision of SCA's specialist team sometime during fourth-quarter 2026.

Once installed, SCA said the carousel will provide controlled quayside storage for Kosmos Energy’s subsea umbilical system, supporting safe storage and readiness for future deployment.
