Azule Energy lets umbilical contract for Ndungu project offshore Angola
Azule Energy has let a contract to Aker Solutions to provide subsea umbilicals for the Ndungu project in Block 15/06, about 120 km from Angola in 1,050 m of water.
The contract includes delivery of eight infield umbilicals including spares totaling over 25 km in length. Project execution, engineering, and manufacturing will take place at the Aker Solutions facility in Fornebu and Moss, Norway. Work will begin immediately, and delivery is planned for fourth-quarter 2024.
The service provider values the contract at NOK 0.5-1.5 billion.
Ndungu field is part of Azule Energy Agogo Integrated West Hub project, where Aker Solutions was awarded an umbilicals contract for Agogo field development (OGJ Online, Feb. 28, 2023).
Azule, a joint venture of Eni and bp, also let a contract to TechnipFMC to supply flexible pipe for the project (OGJ Online, Aug. 2, 2023).
