ExxonMobil Guyana Ltd. has let a contract to TechnipFMC to supply subsea production systems for the newly sanctioned Hammerhead development in the Stabroek block offshore Guyana.

TechnipFMC will provide project management, engineering, and manufacturing of subsea production systems supporting both production and water injection capabilities, the service provider said in a release Sept. 25. The subsea architecture will include subsea trees, manifolds, and associated controls.

The contract marks the seventh greenfield project award to TechnipFMC from ExxonMobil Guyana since the first development was sanctioned in 2017, said Jonathan Landes, president, subsea at TechnipFMC, commented:

TechnipFMC values the contract at $250-500 million.
