Petronas signs PSCs for Eastern Java, Eastern Indonesia

Petronas subsidiaries signed the PCS and will undertake an initial 3-year work commitment including three geological and geophysical studies, as well as the acquisition and processing of 400 sq km of 3D seismic data.

Petronas signed Production Sharing Contracts (PSCs) for Serpang and Binaiya Working Areas offshore Eastern Java and Eastern Indonesia.

Petronas subsidiaries Petronas Energy Serpang Sdn. Bhd. and Petronas Energy Binaiya Sdn. Bhd. signed the PCS and will undertake an initial 3-year work commitment including three geological and geophysical studies, as well as the acquisition and processing of 400 sq km of 3D seismic data.

The Serpang working area covers about 8,498 sq km while the Binaiya working area spans 8,484 sq km.

Petronas is operator of Serpang with partners INPEX Corp. and SK Earthon Co. Ltd. Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE) is operator of Binaiya with partners Petronas and SK Earthon Co. Ltd.
