Finder Energy Holdings Ltd. has identified prospects in WA-547-P in Northern Carnarvon basin, offshore Western Australia, and is seeking a farmout partner to fund exploration activity to test prospectivity.

WA-547-P is in the Dorado play trend. The three identified prospects (Brees, Favre, and Brady) have combined 2U (P50) prospective resource potential of over 500 million bbl of recoverable oil.

Finder has been granted a 3-year suspension and extension of the primary term of WA-547-P, extending the end date to Jan. 4, 2027, with no additional commitments. The extension will allow Finder to progress environmental approvals, benefit from any additional new discoveries in the Dorado play, and increased flexibility on timing of expenditure on major work program commitments, the company said.

WA-547-P is 100% owned by Finder.
