ExxonMobil lets subsea contract for Uaru project

ExxonMobil Corp. affiliate Esso Exploration and Production Guyana Ltd. has let a contract to TechnipFMC PLC to supply the subsea production system for the Uaru project on Stabroek block, offshore Guyana.

ExxonMobil Corp. affiliate Esso Exploration and Production Guyana Ltd. has let a contract to TechnipFMC PLC to supply the subsea production system for the Uaru project on Stabroek block, offshore Guyana.

As part of the contract, TechnipFMC will provide project management, engineering, and manufacturing for delivery of the overall subsea production system, the service provider said on May 2.

Specifically, TechnipFMC’s scope of work will cover 44 subsea trees and associated tooling, as well as 12 manifolds, associated controls, and tie-in equipment.

The service provider valued the contract at between $500 million and $1 billion.

On April 28, ExxonMobil made a positive final investment decision (FID) to proceed with Uaru, the fifth development on Stabroek block, after receiving government and regulatory approvals (OGJ Online, Apr. 28, 2023).
